Abstract: Buzău Land Geopark is famous for its geodiversity, and there are several places within the geopark where geological and morphological values are concentrated. Such a varied place is the area of Slănicul de Buzău Valley, between Mânzălești and Lopătari, where, within a few kilometres, many interesting and instructive sedimentary geological, petrological and morphological phenomena can be found. Due to its less resistant rocks (rock salt, marl, clay shale, clay, sandstone) erosion, corrosion and landslide processes keep the landscape in dynamic change. In the past years, we have experienced its many different faces in different seasons in subsequent years. In this study, we summarize the results of investigation on recent dynamic geomorphological processes in the Slănicul de Buzău valley.

Abstract: There has happened a new important event regarding the earth sciences: on 22 November 2021, at the UNESCO General Assembly in Paris, the 193 participating Member States approved the establishment of a new international day, which has got officially the name “Geodiversity Day”. Geodiversity is the natural range (diversity) of geological (rocks, minerals, fossils), geomorphological (landform, processes) and soil features and includes their assemblages, relationships, properties, interpretations and systems. The manifoldness of the abiotic nature is a similar value as the biodiversity; therefore, it is necessary to protect and conserve also it, especially taking into consideration that unfortunately according to several scientific papers and official resolutions of organizations, which are interested in nature conservation, the nature is only biodiversity. It can be hoped that this new international day will contribute to make known the importance of the geoheritage, geoconservation and geodiversity all over the World.

Abstract: The geography is aligning at the border of the natural and human sciences and due to the manifoldness of its contents has an extended relational network to other subjects. It is necessary to build on these tight relations in order to reach the aim that students would have a comprehensive, complex knowledge. The competence means such facility that spans several disciplines and consists of abilities, skills and attitudes which enable the exertion of the knowledge. According to the curriculum there are seven competencies, of which development is possible and required in case of any subjects. The present paper deals with the appearance of the mathematical competence at the geography lessons and with the review of the development customs and possibilities for the sake of creating conscious synthesis between different subjects.

Abstract: The system of the two-section undivided teacher education was different for the primary (8+2 semester) and the high school (10+2 semester) teachers based on the 283/2012 (X. 4.) Government Decree. The extra two semesters were dedicated to gaining hands-on experience in each teaching profession at school. This system has changed with the 538/2021. (IX. 15.) Government Decree reduced the educational time uniformly for 9+1 semester for the primary and high school teachers. The length of the practice in school was reduced to one semester. However, more special methodology and diverse practices were introduced in the 1–9 semesters (e.g., career socialization practices, group teaching practices and subject-specific teaching practices). The changes in the master's degree program in teacher education were less significant. Besides the earlier existing programs, two programs were created. One is for the teachers with a master's degree (two-semester), which aims the transfer higher-level expertise to one of their majors. The other one is for the students with a bachelor's degree. During the education, they can learn the teacher's profession and subject of the same major they have their bachelor's degree. The new system of teacher education will start in September 2022.
