A „Jövőformáló tudomány” című konferencia előadásai
Jelen tanulmány egy három éven át tartó kutatásról ad röviden számot. Vizsgálatunk alapja a többszörös visszaeső bűnelkövetők életútjának megismerését célozta, amelynek során megerősítést nyert az a kriminológiában régóta elfogadott tétel, ami szerint az életútban halmozottan megjelenő rizikófaktorok erősen predesztinálják a kriminális karriert. A vizsgálat második periódusában olyan emberek életútját vizsgáltuk, akik hasonlóan hátrányos körülmények között nőttek fel, de mégis távol maradtak a deviáns életviteltől és sikeresen alkalmazkodtak a társadalmi elvárásokhoz. Őket a pszichológia rezilienseknek, a jelenséget pedig rezilienciának nevezi. Arra kerestük a választ, hogy milyen tényezők játszhatnak szerepet ezekben a „sikertörténetekben”. Mennyiben függ a társadalom-konform boldogulás az egyénben rejlő, illetve a környezeti faktoroktól?

The present article gives a brief account of a three-year research. The basis of our research was to learn about the life paths of multiple recidivist offenders. The theory, which has long been accepted in criminology, that risk factors accumulating in the life course strongly predestine a criminal career, has been confirmed. In the second period of the study, we examined the lifepaths of people who grew up in similarly disadvantaged circumstances but still stayed away from deviant lifestyles and successfully adapted to societal expectations. Psychology calls them resilient, and the phenomenon is called resilience. We were looking for the answer to what factors might play a role in these “success stories”. To what extent does social-conform well-being depend on individual and environmental factors?

A személyiségzavar büntetőjogi felelősséget, illetve büntetéskiszabást érintő értékelésének kérdése rendre felmerül mind a hazai, mind a nemzetközi szakmai diskurzusokban. A személyiségzavarok büntetőjogi relevanciáját elsősorban a bűnelkövetők körében való felülreprezentáltságuk és a kriminalitással való szoros kapcsolatuk adja. A tanulmány interdiszciplináris kontextusban tárgyalja a személyiségzavarok büntetőjogi értékelést befolyásoló sajátosságait, külön kitérve a pszichopátiában tapasztalható - kriminológiailag jelentős - kognitív és érzelmi diszfunkciókra. A konklúzió - gondolatébresztő célzattal -röviden érint néhány, a tárgyalt kórkép büntetőjogi megítélésével kapcsolatos dilemmát.

The issue of personality disorder as a possible factor in criminal responsibility and sentencing emerges from time to time both in international and in Hungarian professional discourses. The criminal legal relevance of personality disorders is determined by their overrepresentation among offenders and their strong link to criminality. The paper summarizes in an interdisciplinary context the characteristics of personality disorders influencing the legal evaluation, especially discussing the criminologically relevant cognitive and affective dysfunctions associated with psychopathy. The concluding paragraph with a thought-provoking intent briefly poses a few dilemmas concerning the criminal legal assessment of the discussed mental disorder.

A lassan egy évre visszanyúló és az egész országot mélyen érintő, korábban nem tapasztalt járványügyi veszélyhelyzetben a büntetés-végrehajtási szervezetnek is megfelelő válaszokat kell adni a folyamatos kihívást jelentő atipusos szakmai helyzetekre. E tanulmányban ezeket a szakmai és jogi megoldásokat mutatom be különös figyelmet szentelve általánosan a kapcsolattartásra, a látogató fogadásának eredeti szerepére és az azt ideiglenesen kiváltó Skype-alapú kapcsolattartás távlati lehetőségeire.

In an unprecedented epidemic emergency situation lasting for almost a year now and impacting profoundly the whole country, the Prison Service must also give appropriate responses to the constantly challenging atypical professional situations. In this study, I present these professional and legal solutions with particular attention to the contact between prisoners and their contact persons in general, the original role of receiving visitors, and the longterm possibilities of Skype based contact that has temporarily replaced the reception of visitors.

A modern média életünk szerves része, segítségével alakítjuk ki álláspontunkat a minket körülvevő világról, így tehát jelentős befolyást gyakorol arra, hogy mikor, miről és éppen mit gondoljunk. Egy szervezetről kialakult társadalmi kép nagyban függ attól, hogy a média milyen módon tájékoztat (vagy tájékoztat-e egyáltalán) annak működéséről, sikereiről, kudarcairól, illetve attól, hogy a szervezet maga hogyan kommunikál mindezekről. Egy jól átgondolt stratégia mentén megvalósuló kommunikációs tevékenység sokat tehet azért, hogy a média ábrázolása hiteles legyen. Ezt felismerve a büntetés-végrehajtás kommunikációja a közelmúltban új irányokat vett, egyre hangsúlyosabb szerepet kap a proaktivitás és az új kommunikációs technológiák használata. A tanulmány ennek a munkának a bemutatására vállalkozik.

Modern media is an integral part of our life and we form our opinions about the world surrounding us with the help of it, media has a considerable influence on the contents, focus, and timing of our thoughts. Public opinion about an organization largely depends on how the media informs the public (and on whether it informs it at all) about its functioning, successes, and failures as well as on how the organization itself communicates about these. Communicational activities guided by a well thought-through strategy can do a lot for validity of media representation. Recognizing this, the communicational approach of the Hungarian Prison Service has recently taken new directions, including via placing more weight on proactivity and use of new communicational technologies. The current monograph is aimed at illustrating this work.

A tanulmány előbb a vértanúk tiszteletéről szól általában, utána rátér Szent Hadrianus, magyarul Adorján vértanúságának tárgyalására, majd az ő tiszteletének alakulására. Ezt követően a zalavári Szent Adorján-templom sorsát mutatja be, és felhívja a figyelmet arra, hogy a Szent Adorján- tisztelet elvezet a keleti és nyugati egyházhoz tartozó szláv népek és a magyar történelem jobb ismeretéhez.

The study begins with the veneration of martyrs in general, and then it deals with the martyrdom of St. Hadrian, in Hungarian “Adorján”, and then the development of his veneration. The study then presents the fate of the Church of St. Adorján in Zalavár and draws attention to the fact that the veneration of Saint Adorján leads to a better knowledge of the Slavic peoples belonging to the Eastern and Western Churches and of the Hungarian history.
